First of all. AMS shop car is the quickest/fastest Evo in the U.S.

Eric Jones is the driver, 9.411 @149.13 no nitrous -- GT42R turbo on 42psi and C-16 race fuel. 3075# driving weight.

As for the car that is on Hwy100 once in a while, that is Garrett -- he is from madison, and has now posted mid 10 second times from his Evo at GLD on a 2.3L Stroker with a GT35R and a 75shot of N2O.

808 AWHP is dead on for that evo, and it is all boost. The car is definitely an 8-second car with driver experience.

I totally agree. He definitely needs a good amount of wheel time to become a better driver. It will just have to come in time, like it did for all of us--since he is only 17years old. The kid is ok--as far as rich kid douches go. His dad is much cooler, and definitely knows more about cars than Garrett does.

I agree to a certain point -- I like totally clean sleepers, but if I was being paid good money/parts, to have those stickers on my car, They would sure as hell be on it. Discreetly of course. like on the undercarriage or the taillights only.

I have only one sticker on my car and it is 2"X2" in size -- Beyond Redline. thats it. If ross came up to me and said "here you go Tim, heres a set of new shiny ross stroker pistons for free...if you put our sticker on your car and go to 2 events in a year." -- Hell yeah.

Personally I would have to get silver "ghost" stickers to match my silver paint, then I would be sporting them tastefully.


As for Domestics, I usually see them sporting stickers also. They are usually just putting them on the inside of their hood so they melt off and get all over their motors. YAY@!

I remember racing Eric when we were all heading down to MOD 2 months ago. Even when the car runs pump gas it screams. You all have to remember about the stickers also, it is a shop car and it gives a type of character to remember it by.

There is another AMS shop car but it's rarely seen and is for sale. It was on the cover of SCC earlier this year. I'll see if I can dig up a picture.

I don't disagree with what it ran, obviously since it is well published. In the video to me it looked much slower than a mid/low nine second car. It could very well have been detuned for the street.
Just speaking my mind, wasn't trying to start a fight. :thumbsup
