I didn't know ferraris had cams like this.

I didn't know that ferrarri actually used cams like that...but I knew the concept was out there. Don't know the longevity of something like that, but imo, it's the second best way of variable cam timing.

The best will be the electric solenoids that will change duration and lift per what will perform best at a given engine load and rpm...and the great thing is, that it doesn't need to follow a eccentric lobe on a cam, and no need to be limited by the cams ramps, so even at low durations you can have maximum lift if need be....

funny thing bout that design is a major egine service at 15k miles is required, heard a rumor that it was like $20k for that service

Thats why when you see them for sale, they only have like 4-5k miles on them.
