I'd much rather have an original one with 1000+hp, which could be done for less than a quarter of $427,000......

Thats a NEW Baldwin-Motion Performance car. They'll build it anyway you want. Thats why that can be upto $427,000. I'm pretty sure the base engine is a 540 BBC. Beyond that, you can throw the whole catalog at it. Basically build your dream car, as it was described. Cool part, It will come with all the official papers stating thats its a real-deal Motion Performance car. Kinda stinks for all the people who have the originals from the 60's ad 70's. Would think that it might knock down the price tag on those, since you can now get a new one.

I don't really like it, the 540BB is nice but I'd much rather build it myself.

What he said. I don't care how much fab work goes into that car...I don't see it increasing in value. I would rather build my dream house than a dream car.

Either way, that price is rediculous.

I'm curious how their 10 second, 540ci big block is going to be "fully/totally streetable and legal". Considering it would have to pass emissions to do that.

Smells to me like a group of guys looking to make a few bucks off men with too much money in their pockets.
