Nice picture.

I've been looking into a camera, what do you think about the Canon Rebel XT? I was looking at this one for 975:

It comes with some goodies too!

the ebay packages scare me. I can GUARANTEE those accessories minus the microdrive and the lens are garbage...the filter kit, the wide angle thingy and the tripod. I would stay away. They are inviting cuz they are a good price but I wouldn't fall victim to them. I told MoparScott the same thing.

This is what you want:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16830120031

then buy a 1GB Lexar or Sandisk card and you are set.....for now. Thats all you need to get started. Shoot even a 512mb card will be fine for awhile till you want more space. Newegg.com is a reputable vendor, fast shipping and this is a great price after rebate with the 18-55

Probably my 2nd favorite shot of yours, with 1st being that green Milwaukee bridge photo that looks so surreal.

thanks....this shot has my style about it, much like the bridge shot you are referring to. Creating your own style take a lot of time and just now can I see that starting to come out on a lot of my photos. I want it to get to the point that someone sees one of my shots and they say, "oh yea, J shot that one you can tell..."

I found the link to the bridge photos: http://brewcitymuscle.com/forum/showthread.php?t=6785 for anyone who didn't see them the first time around. :thumbsup

Ok thank you!! What's wrong with those ebay lenses cheapys? So where is a good place to buy lenses for a rebel xt? Are lenses from you D70 swappable? I'm new to the camera thing.

I'd like to get a wide angle lense right away too.

I've probably spent close to 2g's thru newegg building my new computer :thumbsup

I was shopping the E Bay auction for camera packages a couple years ago a dn high number of them were great prices but somehow the auctions are cancelled just befoer they end if the price isn't quite what the dealer wants.

Listen to what the man says about getting a new camera!
