Just curious to see how many of you hunt and what you got so far this year.

Most of the years, I'm a big time bowhunter. This year, it's going to have to be late season for me though. There was too much crap going on this fall (weddings, moving, crappy weather) to get up there. The few weekends we did go up, it was warm as heck and I don't really care for hunting in that heat.

I do fully intend on sticking a coyote with the bow this winter. They're thick out by me so as soon as I have zipped a few with the gun, out comes the bow.

I usually try to get out about every weekend to do some bow hunting but havent been able to get out much with work and school taking up a lot of my time. I am very excited for the next coming weekends tho when gun season opens up. Already started getting out stuff ready.

I am going up north to clam lake this weekend to do a little hunting. I didnt see anything last weekend except 2 elk. One was a nice 7X7 and the other was a cow. There a quite a few scrapes by my stand now.

Can't say I've seen an elk in WI.

But I did see a wolf about 18 months ago. And being an avid coyote hunter I know the difference.

Canada is migrating South...

I used to think the same thing. Then my buddy finally talked me into it about 7 yrs ago and I was hooked. Now I don't even get excited for gun season. Other than a good reason to :alcoholic ...

Plus, I thought I'd have a problem with sitting still but it seems to be easier because 1. it's usually not as friggin cold and 2. there's more wildlife action earlier in the fall.

Ya bow hunting is way more exciting. Gun season is fun but it is not as challenging. On a side note, There were 25 elk planted in clam lake about 10 years ago and now there are a little over 150. I thought it was pretty cool to see them.

My dad saw a deer with an arrow sticking out of it in Mequon today.

Next time he sees it, tell him to hit it with his car so I can get my arrow back. Those things cost me like $10 apiece. :goof

Ya they are expensive. Well I spooked a huge buck out on saturday afternoon. I couldnt tell if it was a 8 or a 10 but the body was big. it was 200+ lbs. I wish I got to my stand a little earlier then I could be posting pictures of it. But I walked in and I saw him take off.

Does anyone go to Lake Link? There was an article and photo of a buck shot with a bow near Montello that was 340-somthing lbs. After they dressed it, it still went 290-something.

I saw a big brute the other night in the truck I tried to speed up and hit it. I failed. He would have looked good on my wall!
